Firefly, a new luxury residential and golf community, is set to span 700 acres along Route 431 in Spring Hill, Tennessee, approximately 15 miles south of Franklin. Storied Development, in partnership with Wheelock Street Capital, recently announced this ambitious project, which will offer 407 single-family homes, an 18-hole signature golf course, and a 9-hole short course.
Mark Enderle, a partner at Storied Development and a native of Middle Tennessee, is thrilled to bring a project of this scale and vision to the Nashville area. “Nashville is severely underserved as it relates to golf,” he said. “While there are some great courses and clubs here, access is often limited, especially for visitors. This community is designed to fill that gap and stand out in a growing market.”
The development is anticipated to meet the demands of Middle Tennessee’s booming population, especially along the bustling I-65 corridor. Enderle noted, “This is an incredible chance to introduce something entirely new to Nashville, which has grown dramatically over the past decade. We’re in a unique position to build this community from the ground up, right in the heart of what’s next for the region.”
Acclaimed architect Andrew Green, known for his restoration work on courses like the Vaquero Club in Texas and East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, will design both golf courses at Firefly. This will be Green’s first original design. “The Middle Tennessee landscape offers a perfect canvas for creating a truly interesting and challenging golf experience,” he explained. “Members can look forward to a course that fully embraces the area’s unique topography.”
Beyond the golf courses, Firefly will boast an array of top-tier amenities aimed at offering something for every family member. These include a full-service clubhouse, a fitness center, a family club, a bowling alley, and a racquet club with indoor pickleball courts. Residents will also enjoy both adult and kid-friendly pools, golf simulators, and a range of other recreational options. Enderle emphasized the importance of catering to families, saying, “Building a community means ensuring everyone finds something they love and enjoy.”
Homesites are expected to range from $500,000 to over $1.5 million, with home prices beginning at $2.5 million, according to Firefly’s website. Enderle highlighted the beauty of the land, stating, “This area is truly ideal for a golf course community. The rolling hills and elevated sites provide stunning views, making this property a prime location. Interest has been overwhelming, with over 350 inquiries and nearly 40 founders signed up within just the last few days. We’re aiming to reach 50 founders in our initial phase.”
The permitting process for Firefly is already in progress, with groundbreaking anticipated before the end of 2024. If all goes as planned, the community is expected to open its doors by spring 2026, bringing an unparalleled lifestyle and golf experience to the Nashville area.
